Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe skin, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective is a combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy in one of its first cosmetic uses, and vitamin E. The apricot coloured balm was so beneficial to her clients, Miss Arden used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance - a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "eight hours later" the skin was all better.

The surprise for me was the the lip protectant the minute I put it on, it plumped my lips, soothed the dryness. I am using the moisturiser over my night face treatment and it feels and is, a great quality product. Whatever the content, this long standing product works and stands the test of time.

I got this during a sale and I have to say that I'd purchase it again full price. It has full sized products for a fraction of the price and the products are amazing. I use the daily moisturizer religiously (it's AMAZING) as well as the lip stick. I keep the cream protectant in my purse for emergencies and I travel with bag that you also get with the products.
